 This week has been busy for me but I'm so happy for the turn out of our dinner. Be sure to check out the recap on FASH here. 

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to attend a wonderful event. If you follow me on Instagram then you have seen some of the pictures. The Sensory Social hosted by my dear friend Monike of Yum Delish & The Saxappeal. It’s an evening of yummy treats, outstanding music and visual arts.

 This quarterly event provides a networking opportunity for young professionals.  I was honored to sponsor the event as well.

Remember the famous H&M floral pants that were all the rage around the blogging community? I wasn’t able to get the pants but I loved the print so much I was so happy to get the lovely pencil skirt. I can’t get enough of this skirt. I LOVE it! This event took place on one of the many 90 degree days we had this summer, so I opted for a tank top. Instead of doing plain white I decided to wear one of my colored tanks. To add some flair I added a ton of pearls

Love of Style Tip: The pencil skirt is a wardrobe staple. It's easy to transform this item from work to play.  You can remove the cardigan or blazer and add a sexy top. Change into a sexy heel and add a clutch. 

Tips on wearing floral. I have worn this skirt several ways…a white button up, a white t-shirt, a black and white stripe shirt. I’ve worn leopard shoes, pink shoes, and black shoes. The possibilities are endless. You should just take one of the colors in the skirt and bring it out. You can even go with another print that complements the color in the floral print.
